This is a biographical piece of the artists childhood, Daniels' father was a keen exotic animal keeper and a great admirer of Surrealism, especially Miro and Dali. The painting is comprised of early memories from an axolotl pond to a family tortoise, trips to see grandparents at the seaside and the walls being full of famous surrealism prints.

The painting also depicts a popped balloon which is a comment on Daniels' earlier work of tortoises being suspending by a balloon, this paintings breaks away from his previous style as he divulges into a more clearer understanding where his inspiration comes from.
