I often take a playful approach to composition by putting animals in unusual scenarios, which often takes my artwork into surrealism. As a nod to Salvador Dali, I’ve placed a lobster with an unexpected and
seemingly unrelated domestic object, like with Dali’s famous lobster telephone. I’ve expanded on the
lobster’s narrative by showing a framed image of other lobsters, which almost anthropomorphise the sea creatures, suggesting perhaps the lobster’s family, or a collective at a party.
